BP Migas urged management of Energy Sengkang to be replaced 2

Create a public lie.

Executive Agency for Upstream Oil and Gas (BP Migas) urged the management of PT Energy Sengkang to be replaced immediately. The reason, current management has been spreading lies publicly, relevant information about the commitment of the sale of liquefied natural gas (LNG) equal to 500 thousand tons annually with buyers from Japan, Tokyo Gas.

“Sengkang management has released twice of public lies with the release of the gas purchase agreement from the field Sengkang in South Sulawesi,” said Sulistya Hastuti Wahyu, Head of Community Relations and Institutional Relations of BP Migas, in Jakarta, recently.

Sulistya said the first thing is to lie by saying that the Sengkang will supply 1,5-5 million tons per year starting in 2012 to PGN. Reportedly, Energy Sengkang with PT. Perusahaan Gas Negara are studying the construction of LNG receiving terminals. The next lie is a matter of supply commitments amounting to 500 thousand tons of LNG to Tokyo Gas began in 2012.

“We will warn Energy Sengkang and will also ask the current management is replaced. In fact, the Sengkang gas field is very doubtful,” he said.

Energy Sengkang until now has never filed plan of development (PoD) gas field to BP Migas. Therefore, information about Sengkang is requesting approval of BP Migas, is wrong.

Previously, Chief of BP Migas Raden Priyono questioned the process of buying and selling for 500 thousand tons of LNG per year from Energy Sengkang to Tokyo Gas. The deal has no basis, either in terms of gas reserves or approval of PoD.
